Dear Winnipeg Weddings,

Is it customary to provide a seat for the photographer to eat at the reception?

Thanks!

Yup, either at a "vendor's table" if you have enough of them, or at a regular table.

Yep, definitely. :) I gave them a choice for their meal as well which they appreciated.

Ps, I forgot to add something important. Depending on the nature of your reception and the equipment that the photographer has. A few things to consider when picking a spot for the reception.

-spot close to plug in if applicable.
-spot that is easy to slip in/out of without "disturbing" guests.
-spot that is accessible to possible photo ops throughout the meal etc. Our photographer used the pre/post dinner mingling time to get some candids of our guests interacting which turned out to be some of my favorite shots.

Only if you are having them take pictures into the evening.
If they are done at the ceremony, then no. If yes, it's pretty much mandatory (and polite) that you feed them.
